The Chess Club will be restarting after Easter. The children will be participating in the Chess4Schools Challenge and play in a league system with prizes on offer and a trophy for the overall champion. The club is thanks to voluntary help from David Clayton at Leyland Chess Club. Places are still available, please contact the office for more details or download the clubs letter from the website and return to school.
If you like chess puzzles, try the ones below that have been created by David Clayton from Leyland Chess club.
It doesn't matter if you don't come to Chess Club, but you will need to have been taught the basic rules before you can solve the puzzles.
If you want to learn how to play chess, play some games against other children from school and solve these puzzles.
