I don't know about you but I have LOVED our theme topic of the Amazon Rainforest this half term. We have learnt so much about life in the rainforest along with environmental concerns from this area. You have all worked so hard to create different artistic pieces and it was lovely to see how passionate some of you became when we held a debate about Deforestation.
We have had some wonderful tuition on hockey from South Ribble Sports Partnership. The progress you all made in such a short amount of time was terrific and some of you should really think about taking up the sport!! (I will support you at a distance - I've seen how you use those hockey sticks!!)
Our final Theme topic for this term is Higher, Faster, Stronger - a focus on the Ancient Greeks.
Have a happy and safe half term holiday - don't get sunburnt!! We'll see you all back on Wednesday 7th June.

HARVEST CELEBRATION THURSDAY 27th OCTOBER
We learnt about Harvest Festivals in Alaska. They also celebrate in Autumn but their celebrations are for the end of the Salmon and Berry season. Alaskan people make masks and hold ceremonial dances. We created our own masks ....
We have had a very busy week looking at Recycling. We watched videos on how our household materials are recycled, then designed and built our own parks/playgrounds out of recycled items we brought from home.
