    Congratulations to the children who received on of my Head teacher's Awards. The children received these, because they had been on the Pot of Gold every day this term!

  • Harvest at Woodlea

    Fri 23 Oct 2015
    Thank you to every one who attended the Harvest Assembly today in school. The assembly was a combination of poems, singing and prayers performed by the children.
    There has been an amazing amount of food which has been donated. The food will all go to the food bank, which is based at St Mary's Church, here in Leyland.

  • Sponsored Run - October 2015

    All the children of Woodlea participated in a Sponsored Run to raise funds for the school.
    The children had 15 minutes to run as many laps as they could. The course incorporated the Orchard and the school field. The children were encouraged to wear something that showed which team they represented: Amethyst, Emerald, Ruby, Sapphire.
    The children on completion of a lap were given a glass bead, which was added to their team's total for the week.
    Please watch out for the total amount of money raised.

  • Central Venue Football League

    The football team started the Central Venue Football League matches on Thursday 8th October. The team faced tough opposition in week one but unfortunately lost all three games, narrowly losing 2-1 in two of the games. 
    The team are new to playing together and are learning fast for the remaining fixtures. 

  • Woodlea to pay for all the children's Christmas lunch

    Christmas Dinner – Wednesday 16th December
    Christmas in schools are always a happy place. I am proud to say that this year Woodlea will pay for all the children in school, to have a Christmas Lunch.
    It will consist of Roast turkey, Roast Potatoes and all the Trimmings. This will be followed by dessert and accompanied by drink.
    Lunch will be ordered for all children at Woodlea. If your child does not want to take up this offer, can you please inform Mrs Cook in the office by Wednesday 14th October.
