Welcome to Chimps' Class
Well Chimps - WE MADE IT!
WHAT A YEAR! (I hope each and everyone of you remember your Grammar and know that was an EXCLAMATION.
I am so proud to have been your teacher this year and want you to know that each and every one of you is amazing. You have all worked so hard and have grown into young people that both I, Woodlea and your parents can be rightly very proud of.
I hope that you take from Woodlea many things especially happy memories and a love of learning.
Each one of you has incredible potential inside you.
Go out into the world and be the very best version of you that you can be.
Clitheroe Castle trip
On 19th February we took a trip to Clitheroe Castle, where we re-enacted the Battle of Hastings, handled weapons from the period and learnt about the design of a Motte and Bailey castle.
In our Science work we will be learning about how living things are classified. We will be using our computing skills to produce interactive presentations that give information about the different classes of animals in a given habitat.
Christmas project homework
Chimps class have been getting very festive with their most recent project homework.
Business week
On the 20th October 6C held their Business Week sale. They made a range of products themed around Halloween - trick or treat baskets, ghost lollys, monster bookmarks and spooky pom poms. The children raised £60 which will go towards their leaver's hoodies at the end of the year.
Brockholes visit
On the 26th September Year 6 had a 'survival day' at Brockholes Wildlife Reserve, near Preston. Whilst there, they learnt how to make fires and build shelters. They also went pond-dipping to study how different invertebrates are adapted to survive.
