Spring 2 - Inventors and Inventions

We have had such a busy half term! We have had our business week, Bikeability and assessment week and we have still managed to fit in so much learning! 

 

In science we have been learning about forces. We created our own experiment to design a really good parachute using different materials, different shapes and different string length. Here are some photos: 

This half term also included the very fun WORLD BOOK DAY!

 

We have a whole day of reading activities, including a visit from a real author, Rachel Lyon. We had a workshop with Rachel to creating a rhyming story. It was a lot of fun! We also got to dress up as our favourite book characters for the day. 

 

We were a very lucky school because our teacher arranged for us to visit the local Tesco and we were able to buy a £1 book with our voucher. It really was a brilliant week. 

This week we have been having a sneak peek at the books that will be on sale during Parents Evening on the 3rd and 4th April 2019.
