Spring Term Overview – Chimps Class

Welcome to the Spring Term in Chimps Class! This term promises to be an exciting and engaging one, with lots of opportunities for creative and thoughtful learning across the curriculum.

In Maths, we will begin by developing our understanding of percentages, before moving on to measurement and geometry, building both confidence and problem-solving skills. English lessons will be inspired by the classic story Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, which will form the basis for reading, writing, and creative work.

Our History topic will explore World War 2, helping pupils to understand key events and their impact on Britain and the wider world. In Science, we will be learning all about electricity, including circuits and how electricity is used safely in everyday life.

In Computing, children will focus on graphic design, developing digital creativity and design skills. PSHE lessons will explore media influences, encouraging pupils to think critically about the messages they see and hear. In RE, we will be learning about Islam, developing understanding and respect for different beliefs and practices.

PE will take place on Mondays and Fridays, so please ensure children come to school in the correct PE kit on these days.

Homework

Homework will be set from Friday to Friday, and this week consists of 2 Reading Pluses at home, 2 reads in reading books and 10 games of garage and studio on TT Rockstars, as well as the set list on Spelling Shed.
