Endangered Animal Fundraising Day
Fri 11 Sep 2015The children of Woodlea have today participated in their Endangered Animal Fundraiser. Each class at Woodlea is named after and endangered animal. Last week the children in each class decided what their fundraising event was going to be. Below are what the children chose to do;
Panda – Panda Party
Gorillas – Class Disco
Tigers – Cake Making
Rhinos – Dress in grey & teddy bears picnic
Leopards – Leaping Leopards Sports Day
Elephants – Dress as elephants
Chimps – Throwing wet sponges at Mr Payne
Orang-utans – Dress as Orangutans, something orange

Meet The Teacher
Wed 09 Sep 2015All parents were invited to an informal meeting with their child's class teacher. The purpose of the session was to put names to faces and find out routines of the class. It was good to see so many of the parents in school and that they felt comfortable in asking questions and establishing that link between home and school so early in the school.

Dear Parent/Guardian,
We are running the following after school clubs starting Monday 7th September 2015. All the clubs will run from 3.15 to 4.15 and are free.
If any parents or carers would like to attend the knitting and lace-making club, please contact Mrs Cook.
If you would like your child to be included in any of the clubs, please return the completed slip below to the school office, as soon as possible. Places may be limited on selected clubs, so there must be a commitment to attend the club weekly.
All confirmation of places will be sent home with your child and in a text message.
Any further information about individual clubs will be sent out in a letter and posted on the school website.
