Dear Parents/Guardians

This year we will be having a whole school Harvest Festival Celebration in school on Thursday 26^th October at 9.05am. Our celebration will be supporting Leyland Food Bank, based at Leyland St Marys Church. This project aims to provide basic food needs of people in crisis across South Ribble. At this time they are in desperate need of food items. Therefore we are asking each child to donate one grocery item. To ensure a wide range of produce please refer to the list below.

• Tinned fruit or vegetables
• Tinned soup
• Tinned meat or fish
• Jars of sauces e.g. for pasta curry or casseroles
• Tinned spaghetti, ravioli or beans

In addition, any gifts of tea, coffee and sugar will be appreciated.

I am sure you will agree this is a worthwhile project supporting our locality. Please send any items in to school before Wednesday 25^th October.

All adults are invited to the Harvest Celebration Assembly, when a representative of the Food Bank will be joining us.
