    Well done to Mrs Darby and the choir for a perfect performance at the 'Last Choir Singing' heats at Blackburn Cathedral. They were amazing and each one a star in their own right!

  • Chocolate Bingo

    Chocolate Bingo is always a huge success here at Woodlea.

    Chocolate Bingo will take place on Tuesday 26th March. Doors will open at 6pm and Eyes Down at 6.30. Tickets are priced at £1 per book or 6 books for £5.

    We ask the children to wear their own clothes this Friday, 22nd March and in return for this they bring in ‘Chocolate’ for ‘Chocolate Bingo’ next week.

  • Fly The Flag for The Commonwealth

    Year 6 children representing team captains and all 4 councils accompanied Mrs Shorrocks and some of St Andrews Reception children to the 'Fly the Flag for the Commonwealth' ceremony. The Mayor and Mayoress of South Ribble and the Deputy Lieutenant of Lancashire were also in attendance. 

  • World Book Day voucher to spend at Tesco!

    All the children from year 3, 4 and 5 went to Tesco today and used their World book day voucher to buy a book!

  • Stone Age day at Woodlea

    The year 3 children and staff all came to school as Stone Age children. During the day they built shelters, made jewellery, drew cave paintings in a makeshift cave, sat around a camp fire and had an amazing amount of fun, whilst embedding the learning which has taken place this half term!

  • Snow at Woodlea

    It has been great to see the staff and children outside, playing and having fun. They build, threw and had a great hour. After break the children went into the Heart and everyone built a mini snowman and placed them together, in the style of Antony Gormley's 'Field'.
