Christmas Project Homework
Calling all children and parents! We are looking for some amazing ‘Christmas Themed Project Homework’. You continue to amaze us, with your creativity and innovative ideas, when completing project homework.
Again, you can use any medium of your choice; 3D, 2D, collage, ICT, performance …
We would like these brought into school during December.
Christmas Card Competition
Would you like to win book tokens or a retail voucher? If so, please read on.
Why don’t you have a go at designing a Christmas Card. The card will be used by Lancashire Catering Services and given to their clients.
You can choose whatever style you like; traditional, modern, cute or humorous.
The medium that you use is your choice; collage, sketch, paint or 3D.
The closing date for completed cards is Tuesday 28th November. These should be handed into Mrs Leggett and these will be passed onto Lancashire Catering Services, where the final selection will be made.
Dear Parents/Guardians
This year we will be having a whole school Harvest Festival Celebration in school on Thursday 26th October at 9.05am. Our celebration will be supporting Leyland Food Bank, based at Leyland St Marys Church. This project aims to provide basic food needs of people in crisis across South Ribble. At this time they are in desperate need of food items. Therefore we are asking each child to donate one grocery item. To ensure a wide range of produce please refer to the list below.
In addition, any gifts of tea, coffee and sugar will be appreciated.
I am sure you will agree this is a worthwhile project supporting our locality. Please send any items in to school before Wednesday 25th October.
All adults are invited to the Harvest Celebration Assembly, when a representative of the Food Bank will be joining us.
Thanks for your continued support.

Thyank you to all your contributions for the Coffee Afternoon. It was great to see so many of you sharing the afternoon with the children and staff at Woodlea.
Todays Star Baker was Amelie with her 'Endangered Species Cake'.
We are very proud of our children at Woodlea and encourage them all to be confident individuals.
There is a strong pupil voice in school and we have four committees: Eco Committee, Fair Trade, School Council and Food Council. Each class has representatives on each committee. The chilodren decide which one they would like to stand for and design a campaign poster to promote themselves. Following on from this they stand infront of their class and give a shore speech as to why their classmates should vote for them. The children in class then participate in a secret ballot to elect their representatives.
The following children will represent each committee.
